GRANFONDO LA VIA DEL SALE

Their teammate Denny Lupato performed well, waiting for National XC Championships in Torre Canavese and European XC Championships’ event in Haifa, Israel.

Last weekend the 10th edition of Granfondo La Via del Sale took place in Limone Piemonte.

GIANT Italia Team was represented at the starting line by Spaniard Ivan Alvarez Gutierrez and his young teammates Diego Rosa and Denny Lupato.
Such good performances have to be reported for GIANT Italia Team. While Diego Rosa, who leaded solo most of the race, ended at the 2nd position, his teammate Ivan Alvarez Gutierrez placed 5th. The final victory goes to the Colombian biker of Team Focus Mario Rojas.

“La Via del Sale is such a great opportunity of visibility, and I’d like to attend it. I used my Giant Anthem Advanced SL and I had good feelings along the hard track of Limone Piemonte” Alvarez said, while his teammate Diego Rosa described his performance, “I started well and along the first uphill section, I overcame my antagonists. In the second uphill section, Rojas overcame me and I didn’t be able to rejoin him. Hope to perform great at the National Championships in Torre Canavese”.

Denny Lupato, who has been selected by National Team Manager Pallhuber for the European XC Championships in Haifa, Israel, ended at the 26th place, but still leaded the Juniores category.
