"This has been a really good start for us", commented sports director Enrico Poitschke after the race. The Czech rider himself was also very pleased: "The course was very narrow and you had to take some risks to set a good race. The both cyclocross specialists and Meeusen had some advantages regarding to the course. So it was tough to keep up with them. But I gave it my everything and am happy about the third place."
